High Count Cycle – With a hard-wearing design, FOLD UP high speed folding doors offer a superior performance of up to 1,000,000 opening and closing cycles.
Fast and Efficient – FOLD UP folding doors can achieve a fast opening / closing of between 1.0m/sec and 0.5 m/sec (depending on the size).
Lifting Belt Design – The curtain opens quickly and efficiently due to its lifting belt mechanism and compact overhead stacking design.
Safety Light Curtain System – The door’s safety light curtain system creates a beam that can detect obstructions. When triggered, the door will stop and reverse, preventing potential collisions.
FOLD-UP® FAQs
How does the FOLD UP closure work?
The door is called FOLD UP because of its folding mechanism.
The doors curtain is made of sections connected by horizontal wind bars. As the door opens, these sections literally ‘fold up’, stacking vertically on top of each other.
This process is driven by straps that are connected to the metal tubes, which lifts and packs the curtain into a headbox.
What is the maximum size of a FOLD UP door?
FOLD UP high speed folding doors can reach a maximum size of 8 metres wide and 7 metres high.
For larger sizes, we recommend you use the DUAL AIR door. Please visit the DUAL AIR product page here.
What’s the difference between a FOLD UP folding doors and rapid roll doors?
There are several differences between the FOLD UP and a standard rapid roll door.
Unlike a rolling door, which rolls the curtain up into a cylinder at the top, the FOLD UP door is made up of sections that that stack vertically on top of each other.
Because the FOLD UP folding door is larger and heavier than a rolling door, it moves at a slower speed.
FOLD UP doors are also slightly noisier than rapid roll doors due to the folding mechanism.
Can FOLD UP high speed folding doors have windows?
Yes, the FOLD UP can windows (aka vision panels). The number of windows depends on the size of the door.
